Despite my recent experience with Digoo cloud cameras, I found the DG-MYQ (also known as Bakeey, V380) interesting as a discrete and compact security camera.
It's been out for a while so what follows is more a gathering of information found over time than a real review.
General information
The casing of the DG-MYQ is probably one of the most popular design (after the FI8908W), adopted by Xiaomi, Sricam, and many others for various models with different hardware.
The camera is based on a Goke GK710X, so information related to that chipset can be useful for tweaking this device.
Unlike many predecessors, the DG-MYQ lacks a screw thread at the back but has a hang-tab instead.
That allows Digoo to sell the camera alone with no accessories whatsoever.
Mount solutions for 3D Printer
While the embedded hook is a convenient way to put the DG-MYQ on the wall, a proper stand with a way to orient the camera can be useful.
For those with a 3D printer, there are many free mounting projects for this popular model.
Ways to access the camera...
ONVIF: yeah , if you say so!
Obviously there's little interest for Digoo to allow its camera to work in a closed LAN environment when they could make money selling their Cloud Storage plan.
By default, onvif/rtsp is not enabled on this camera. However, even after enabling it (explained in the hwcfg.ini section below), the camera consistently fails to deliver a video stream despite responding to ONVIF queries.
Video streaming
The default password for accessing to the RTSP video stream on the DG-MYQ is dg20160404
The hwcfg.ini file again, can be used to change it.
Video stream only 1280x720, no audio:
RTSP://admin:gd20160404@192.168.1.88
No suffix is required. If you add one (/onvif1, /onvif2 or /gadgetvictims), it's simply ignored.
Video stream with audio:
rtsp://admin:gd20160404@192.168.1.88/0/av0
rtsp://admin:gd20160404@192.168.1.88/0/av1
...provide respectively 1280x720 and 640x360
The HD picture is very decent and the audio quite neat, free from statics, altough it could be a bit more sensitive. There's a bug with the automatic night vision mode, which I explain near the end of this page.

Cloud access:
Storage plan cost 6.99$/month currently (was 6$ in their original manual). If you go that route, just remember these words of wisdom.
Telnet access:
With any terminal emulator, such as PuTTY, logon with the following login:
user: root
password: cxlinux
Useful locations and files:
/run/closelicamera.log
/tmp/ folder
/home folder in general
wpa_supplicant
Wi-Fi AP connection details including name and password
config.cfg
camera setting, including cloud user and Wi-Fi access point
work.log
hwcfg.ini
contains camera options and can be used in the root of an SD card to change some settings (like support_onvif, and camera password) without using the Digoo Cloud app or web site
Example:
[config]
support_onvif = 1
passwd = dg20160404
support_mp4record = 1

Problems
firmware: 3.2.8.0121, 3.3.0.0803
Problem #1: Onvif not enabled by default.
As discussed above. The videos below are the ones I sent to Digoo customer service...I must have had time to waste...
Problem #2: IR Cut Filter bug
the older DG-M1Q had an IR cut filter bug due to a design flaw where the speaker magnet was preventing the IR cut from working.
The problem with DG-MYQ came with the recent firmware where a bug ruin the purpose of the Automatic Night Vision.
The night vision itself works fine if you switch it manually. The problem is that the auto mode, sets the IR cut filter in night mode when there's light, and goes in day mode when it's dark.
As a result, the picture is always black and white during the day, and becomes completely black at night.
This is likely a software bug with the Automatic Night Vision mode, rather than a wrong wiring: in Digoo Cloud > settings > Turning off night vision manually restores the "day view" as expected. If it was the wiring, it would turn on the night mode.
Problem #3: the field of view is quite narrow
Since it's not a PTZ camera, it's good to have a wider field of view to cover most of the room in one view. The prodided 2.1mm lens is okay but a bit narrow.
I replaced mine with a 1.8mm lens. Be aware that there's a drop of glue to remove carefully before unscrewing the original lens. The focus of the new one should must be set before closing the case of course.

The best source of information I found for this camera is in Russian (use page translator if needed). The guys there have done a terrific job gathering almost everything you could possibly know about this camera: https://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=933195
As always, the do-your-own-tech-support forum from Digoo is a good source of information:

Hi Bubbah,
I have a camera with similar firmware which I can telnet into thanks to your blog. My issue is I want to disable some of the .wav files so the camera doesn't make play any sounds when it reboots itself ("waiting for internet connection" etc - which is always in the middle of the night). I tried re-naming some of the wav files in the /tmp/VOICE/ directory but they just get renamed back again.
Also I can set the date on the camera using the date command, but again it doesn't stick so when the camera reboots the date goes back to 1970.
Any ideas ?
Thanks
Russ
Hi Russ,
The wav file are probably extracted from an archive each time the camera starts. Adding voice_prompt=0 in hwcfg.ini might work (I didn't test).
I'm not sure what can be done for the date though, apart from feeding that from their cloud app.
Cheers
Bubbah
Hi I have it but cannot down software in ny region and if I use other software to add the camera to my net work it say it does not support 5g what is the solution
