Wanscam K21 with face detection: great IP Camera with ONVIF compatibility (updated)

3/26/2021 02:31:00 PM 12

Wanscam has almost always been my favourite brand of IP camera except for the unfortunate HW0036 experience.

I have a bunch of them (HW0026, HW0049 and HW0046) running 24/7 and are still fine after 3 years.

The K21 looks identical to the HW0021, but with a full HD sensor, and a face detection feature.

Another noticeable difference is the price, and surprisingly it's actually 15 to 20$ cheaper than its older variant.

Today, there is a decent choice of IP cameras for the Tuya ecosystem (Smartlife) but the Sonoff-compatible range seems currently limited to the GK-200MP2B.

Here's a quick look at it.

Cracking open the iPazzPort KP-62 remote

1/22/2020 11:52:00 AM 0

The iPazzPort KP-62 is an RF remote I bought some time ago thinking it could be better than the H1 or even the unmatched TZ-P3.

I never considered publishing a review for it because of its inherent show-killer feature: the useless and continuous beeping when using the keyboard side.

There's a simple DIY solution to it.

The Digoo DG-K2 is another camera compatible with Smart Life.

This one has a particularly nice design, which also reminds me a bit of a certain character from South Park , but maybe it's just me...

It's been 3 years since my last review of a dash cam.
There's been very little innovation since and few models have caught my interest until this Alfawise LS02 Dual Dash Cam with WiFi and touch screen.

Blitzwolf TWS earphones: FYE3 vs FYE7

8/03/2019 06:13:00 PM 0
Blitzwolf  sells many different gadgets and i don't know how good are their vacuum cleaners and IP cameras, but their wireless earphones definitely deserve a closer look.

The colourful BW-FYE3 and BW-FYE3S look cool, are touch sensitive and have a storage box that can also be used as a power bank.

The BW-FYE7 may look austere in comparison, but it hides a killer feature in its apparent simplicity.

Which one would you choose?

The cheapest U3 memory cards?

4/24/2019 04:03:00 PM 0
What to expect when you buy a bunch of cheap U3 rated memory cards for 5 bucks and they arrive in a plastic bag?

I tested them to find out if the absence of a shiny secure blister really makes a difference.

My old X10 equipment is being replaced with the cheap Wi-Fi-based sockets and switches from Sonoff and Tuya.

Before learning the difference between these competitors, I found myself with a mix of both "standards"...

UMIDIGI One Pro review

10/22/2018 04:10:00 PM 2

I spent a few weeks using the Umidigi One Pro before posting a review.

This phone caught my attention with its generous specification: FullSurface 19:9 notch display, dual cameras, 64GB ROM, NFC, fingerprint sensor, wireless and fast charging for less than 150€/170$.

Is it too good to be true?

H1 2.4GHz Air Mouse: which version to choose?

The H1 Air Mouse is another inexpensive remote controller.

The large touch-sensitive surface on the reverse side can be used either as a keyboard or as a touch pad.

This remote is absolutely fine, but you must use caution when purchasing it.

Some time has passed since my review of the YEPO 737A (64GB version), and I  was can tell today that this ultrabook is worth the addition of a SSD.
